Er. S. Swaminathan

AVM S. Swaminathan has a distinguished Indian Air force Career spanning over 36 years which include international training on the newly inducted mirage – 2000 aircraft, Station Commander of Airforce station, Dalhousie and Jalahalli, Bangalore. His assignment as maintenance and logistics head of the operational Eastern Air Command, IAF, Shillong, Meghalaya, covered  area of responsibility of  West Bengal and Seven North Eastern States bordering China. He is the recipient of Vishisht Seva Medal from the President of India in 1977 and Ati Vishisht Seva Medal from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, President of India in Jan 2007 for his most distinguished service in his IAF Career.

The Regents of the Alumni Association of the College of Engineering Guindy as an expression of high esteem, and in recognition of his outstanding service to Defence of our Nation through Indian Airforce, confer upon Er. S. Swaminathan the Distinguished Alumnus Award on this 93rd Alumni Day on 18th March 2018.
